Which Best Registry Fix Software Does Kim Komando Recommend?

Finding a reliable registry cleaner doesn't need to be time-consuming or difficult. There are several legitimate software developers who have been in the registry repair industry since the beginning of the Windows operating system usage. Nationally recognized computer expert, Kim Komando, whose radio program reaches more than 450 U.S. affiliated radio stations per week, has touted and advertised a couple of registry fix utilities over the years, so there is no excuse for someone not having valid information on which to take an educated decision.

Ms. Komando is not in the habit of recommending lame or useless products on her radio show or website for obvious reasons. Therefore she personally (or otherwise) tests and uses each product first before making any commitment to allowing advertisement of that product on any of the media connected with her name. Over the years, with regard to the best registry fix software available, she has only made two recommendations that I am aware of, both of which became regular advertisers on her nationally syndicated talk radio show.

Although there are several other software utilities on the market which are more than adequate in handling registry repair issues, it becomes an unintended matter of competition if more than one product at a time is advertised on a nationally recognized talk show host's radio program. In earlier years, Ms. Komando's show advertised the advantages of developer PC Tools' Registry Mechanic, and many people bought that program based on the recommendations being made.

In more recent months, a new challenger to Registry Mechanic has emerged as a touted advertiser on the Kim Komando Show, and that is the product from Uniblue Systems Ltd. called RegistryBooster.

In a recent 2010 newsletter, Komando had this to say regarding this alternative recommendation: "Uniblue is a legitimate company. Its software is completely safe. You don't have to worry about viruses. You can download a trial version. It lets you run a free scan to see what problems exist. You'll know ahead of time if you should invest in the full version. To fix registry errors, you'll need the full version of RegistryBooster. It costs $40, a reasonable price for a registry cleaner. You should run it every couple weeks to keep things tidy."

Is one better than the other? Maybe, or maybe not. Only individual users who have used these two cleaners are in a position to proffer a valid opinion. Yet, attending to my own experience in matters such as this (and having tested them both), I would say that both are likely equally effective in finding, correcting, and removing registry errors from your system.

With equally effective products, then, perhaps the only way to separate these products from each other from the standpoint of the prospective buyer is by examining the extra features built into each of these software packages. Some of the extra features can come in handy when you're on the go and attempting to make the most efficient use of the time you spend on your computer. Having a feature like a Registry Backup of the registry items you delete is a virtual necessity and can help you restore the registry should you accidentally delete an important registry entry.

Equally helpful may be having a Startup Manager that allows you to easily manage the programs that startup when you turn your machine on. You can eliminate unnecessary or infrequently used programs from clogging your startup procedure, thus decreasing the time it takes to start up your system.

It always pays to keep these extra features in mind when shopping around for a registry cleaning utility. For a more rounded selection of quality products, you may wish to view the capabilities of the eight cleaners reviewed in the links below. Each of these eight programs have been thoroughly tested and are on a par with the two recommended by Ms. Komando.
